Office Policies

Fees

The standard fee for an individual or couples sessions is $250. Sessions are forty-five minutes in length and I usually see patients once per week or every other week. Variations from this time will be billed on a pro-rated basis. Payment is due at each session. You may pay by check (made payable to Laura Rosen, Ph.D.), credit card, or by venmo, zelle, or cash. If you wish to pay on a monthly basis, please do so in advance. You will be given advanced notice before any fee increase in the future.

Office Location

My office is located at 75 North Maple Ave., Suite 201 in Ridgewood NJ, located between Franklin and Marshall Avenues in Ridgewood, NJ. It is a red brick building with a parking lot in the back. You can enter the building from the back, directly from the parking lot. There is an elevator directly inside the back entrance. Staircases are located at both the front and back entrance. If the parking lot is full, which may happen during late afternoon or evening hours, there is parking on the side street.

Cancellations

I consider our meetings very important and ask you to do the same. Your session time is reserved for you and it is very difficult for me to fill a cancelled session without adequate notice. Twenty-four (24) hour notice is required for cancellations. The full fee will be charged if less time is allowed and we cannot reschedule for that week. I will do my best to schedule a make-up session within the calendar week if my schedule permits. Sessions missed due to inclement weather or hazardous road conditions do not fall within the twenty four hour cancellation policy. Exceptions can also be made for medical emergencies.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not participate in any insurance plans. Most health insurance plans provide some form of coverage for outpatient psychotherapy, once a deductible is met. I provide a receipt at the end of each month for you to submit for insurance reimbursement if you have out-of-network coverage. The statement will show dates of all our meetings and the charges for each, as well as a diagnosis and procedure code for insurance claim purposes. You may want to call your insurance provider to find out specifically what your coverage would be.

Missed Payment Policy

Missed payment for two consecutive sessions may result in an interruption of therapy until payment is made.
Returned checks will result in an additional $25 fee charged.
